Since getting more involved in ceremonial magick, I seem more aware of the atmosphere around me, including objects with negative energy. Work feels heavy, and I’d like to leave that feeling there instead of carrying it home. Do others notice changes like this, and what helps?
Has anyone else noticed places feeling different after starting ritual practice?

It may help to treat “energy” as a description of how a place affects you, without needing to decide what causes it. Noise, tension, lighting, and difficult interactions can all add up. On the way home, try a small transition routine: wash your hands, change clothes, or take a few quiet minutes outside before settling in.

Ritual practice can make you pay closer attention to your surroundings, so a feeling you used to overlook might stand out now. I’d keep notes on when the heaviness shows up and what’s happening around you. If a simple closing gesture helps, use it as a clear cue that work is over, rather than letting the feeling take over your evening.

Keep it practical and low-pressure. Get some fresh air, have water or a snack if you need one, and give yourself a few minutes to decompress before going inside. If the feeling sticks around or starts affecting sleep or daily life, it may be worth looking at stress and talking it through with someone you trust.

Tracking the timing sounds useful. I’ll try noting whether it follows particular shifts or interactions.
