I searched a large set of files for “666” and found more results than I could check one by one. What’s a sensible way to sort likely Easter eggs from ordinary matches?
How do you tell a 666 search hit from an Easter egg?

Start by checking the surrounding text and the file’s purpose. A number in a filename, date, code, or routine data can look striking in a search result but mean nothing special in context. Keep notes on the strongest examples and what makes each one unusual, rather than treating every match as a clue.

I’d narrow the search before drawing conclusions. Group hits by file or repeated pattern, then compare them with similar numbers and strings. If 666 shows up no more often or more deliberately than those, it may just be search noise. A handful of clearly placed examples can be worth a closer look, but the search alone doesn’t establish intent.
