How can you tell whether this “world reset” claim has anything behind it?

I came across a claim that Trump was put in power to help bring about a coordinated global reset. What kind of evidence would actually support that, rather than just making it sound plausible?

Break it into separate claims. Was there a coordinated plan? Was Trump deliberately selected to carry it out? Is there evidence of what the plan involves? Each point needs support of its own. A public statement, even if accurately described, would not by itself prove the larger story.

Look for specific, checkable evidence from sources that can be independently assessed. If the claim relies mostly on interpreting motives, connections, or dramatic events after the fact, that is a reason to stay cautious.

One easy trap is treating “this person benefits powerful people” as proof that those people appointed them for a hidden purpose. It may be a political criticism, but it doesn't establish a coordinated plan. The gap between those ideas needs evidence, not just a confident explanation.

Ask what would count as evidence against the claim, too. If every outcome is explained as part of the plan, then the idea may not be testable. A clearer claim makes specific predictions and says what information could change the conclusion.
