Can tarot cards survive being left in a hot car?

I may need to keep a tarot deck in a parked car through a hot summer. It would be in a small box and plastic sleeve. Is there any useful way to protect it from warping, or is car storage a bad idea?

I’d avoid leaving the deck in the car if you can. A box and sleeve can protect it from bumps and dust, but they won’t keep the temperature stable. Long stretches of heat can warp cards or make them stick together, and shade only helps so much.

If possible, carry it with you for tarot readings or store it somewhere indoors. An insulated bag might slow heating for a while, but it isn’t a reliable fix for a parked car all day.

Right, insulation buys time, it doesn’t keep the deck cool indefinitely. The trunk can heat up too, so I wouldn’t count on moving it there.

If the deck has to be in the car briefly between tarot readings, keep it out of direct sun and take it out as soon as you can. But for regular storage over a hot season, I’d look for another option, like a trusted person’s indoor space or a bag you can keep with you. A sealed container or cooler without a cooling source won’t solve prolonged heat.
