What Are Your Methods for Drawing Tarot Cards?

I've been exploring different ways to draw tarot cards, and I'd love to hear about your methods! I've been reading Le Normand cards for about 10 years, and the way I pick them—spreading them out and closing my eyes to intuitively select the glowing cards—has worked really well for me. However, when it comes to my tarot deck, it's a bit trickier since there are more cards, and I find it hard to create enough space. I tend to shuffle haphazardly while focusing on my question, but this sometimes leads to less accurate readings. Since I have autism, fancy shuffling techniques are quite a challenge for me. I'm curious about how others approach this and if any unique styles yield better results!

I knock on my decks three times and greet them with the same intention each time. Then, I shuffle them like a regular card deck and toss them in chunks from my right hand into my left. It adds an element of excitement and helps me let the right cards come out naturally!

I usually waterfall shuffle my decks while saying what I’m looking for, whether out loud or in my head, and just take the cards that jump out. This method keeps my decks mixed and feels really effective for me.

Some decks are really tricky to shuffle! I recommend finding a more user-friendly deck. For example, the Tarot of the Thousand And One Nights is slightly narrower than regular decks, making it much easier to handle. My method changes with my mood—I like the surprise of different techniques every day. Good luck on your journey!

I have a pretty structured approach: I shuffle, cut the deck, and then pull the number of cards I decide on beforehand from where I cut. Shuffling the same way each time helps me know when to stop and gets me in a reflective mood.

After shuffling my deck once, I’ve started pulling cards intuitively. I put them back in the deck in a random manner too, which makes it feel more spontaneous!
