A crop circle was reportedly found in Wiltshire on May 22, but its authenticity is unclear. What evidence would help distinguish a documented formation from an unverified report?
What would help verify the Wiltshire crop circle report?

Start with the documentation: dated images from several angles, a clear location, and enough detail to judge the formation’s size and layout. Photos can show what it looks like, but they do not establish when or how it was made.

I’d keep the label “unverified” unless there’s independent, transparent field documentation. A striking pattern by itself can’t tell you who made it or how, and a lack of visible tracks in a picture wouldn’t settle that either.
