Question

Using Tarot for Reflection Instead of Divination

I've been passionate about Tarot for years, and while I deeply value its insights into my life and emotions, I don't actually use it for divination. I currently have about ten decks, having recently donated a few that didn't resonate with me. My favorites are the Rider-Waite, as I love the symbolism and stories told through the cards, and I enjoy comparing different decks by laying out the suits side by side. I'm aware that some people link Tarot with divination, but I don't see it that way—I'm curious if there are others out there who appreciate Tarot more as a tool for reflection and understanding rather than for predicting the future.

I totally relate! For me, Tarot is perfect for looking at decisions from different angles. I do readings more to see what traits I might want to embody rather than to forecast the day. It's such a great way to reflect on what’s important.

I believe Tarot really shines when it works as a guide rather than a crystal ball. I avoid using it for predictions because I think we're in control of our paths. It's much more about connecting with our intuition and understanding ourselves.

freedom_thinker: Exactly, I see Tarot as a way to align with my own thoughts and intentions rather than a fortune-telling tool. It’s all about perspective!

You sound just like me! I love pulling cards for my kids in the morning and using that as a reflection tool for the day. Sometimes they really connect with the messages, and it sparks a little bit of magic in our daily routine without feeling like it’s about fortune-telling.
