Question

Does Using a Candle Make Tarot Readings More Accurate?

I've been practicing Tarot for a few months now, and I've heard from a friend that using a candle during readings can lead to more accurate results. She also mentioned that she cleans the Tarot cards with a white candle. Is there any truth to this? And what are some reliable sources for learning more about Tarot practices?

I always shuffle my deck three times while mentally saying, 'let the truth come out,' and it seems to work wonders for me! I don’t light candles, but I trust my intuition on whether it's a good time to ask the cards – if it doesn’t feel right, I just get distracted or feel drained. It’s all about what feels right for you!

Different rituals can definitely enhance your reading experience, but they’re mainly symbolic and personal. What matters is your mindset and intention going into the reading. I feel more centered after meditating and creating a nice environment with incense or soft lighting. It helps me connect better with the cards.

Totally agree! It’s about finding what rituals help you center yourself. If candles are your thing, go for it. I usually light one too because it creates a nice atmosphere. The key is that the clearer your mind is, the clearer your readings will be.

While I've been reading Tarot for a long time without any strict rituals, I find that candlelight can create a calming atmosphere. It helps me access my intuition better, but honestly, any color candle can work. Everyone has their unique way of practicing Tarot, so don’t be swayed into thinking there’s only one correct method.
