Combining Novenas with Witchcraft: Any Experiences?

I'm curious about blending novenas, which are structured prayers usually involving the number nine, with my practice as a witch. My aunt, who is Catholic, mentioned doing a novena, and it got me thinking about how I could incorporate this into my own rituals. I know that rosaries are often used for novenas, and I've seen some specifically made for witches, but I've never used one. Has anyone done this before? What kind of rosary do you like, and what prayers do you use? I'm eager to hear any insights or experiences you might have!

I've never heard of witches' rosaries before, but I've definitely prayed a novena to my Guardian Angel! It’s a special book my mom gave me years ago, and it’s still by my bedside. When I do the novena, I usually light a candle for nine days, and I like to include holy water or moon water as an offering. Sometimes I burn incense too, just to enhance the overall energy of the practice.

Curious_Traveler82: Thank you for sharing! I really love this perspective and the way you incorporate different elements into your practice.

While I haven't done this yet, I've thought about it a lot. If I were to make a rosary, I'd want to use crystal beads or something natural to give it that extra 'witchy' vibe. You could add beads that symbolize a deity you're devoted to. It can be tough to find prayers that resonate, but you can always create your own if needed!

GoddessCalling: I'm usually focusing my spellcasting on deities like Hekate or the Morrigan, so I would likely direct those prayers to them as well. I found a good book with prayers dedicated to Hekate on Kindle Unlimited that might help.

I made my own witches' rosary once, and it turned out to be a fun DIY project! I even made some extra ones for my family and friends who aren't into witchcraft. Picking out the right beads and fittings was a really nice touch. I'd say it's a rewarding way to personalize your practice!

CraftySpirit: Sounds like a fun project! I wish the bead stores nearby hadn't closed, or I'd totally try that too.
