Can something from an apartment come with you when you move?

We’re moving out of an apartment where we’ve experienced objects shifting, lights coming on, and occasional apparitions. My spouse wonders whether a presence we think of as a child could come with us. Is there any way to know, and should we try?

There isn’t a reliable way to establish that a ghost is present or that one can be carried to a new home. I wouldn’t invite anything along based on uncertain experiences. You can move your belongings without treating them as a way to transport a presence.

For the lights and moving objects, check ordinary causes such as switches, wiring, airflow, pets, or things being left unstable. If the toddler seems distressed or has another frightening night, check the bed and room for hazards and talk it over with a pediatrician if it keeps happening.

If a spiritual explanation is meaningful to your family, a simple goodbye at the old apartment could provide closure without claiming you know what happened. I’d keep it focused on your family’s feelings rather than trying to summon, invite, or relocate anything.

There’s no dependable test for whether a presence would follow you. Once you’re settled, notice whether the same experiences actually continue before drawing conclusions.

I’d keep the move practical. Take the toys and furniture you want, but don’t feel responsible for rescuing or transporting something you can’t verify. If a particular room or object has become frightening, you can leave it behind or handle it in whatever way feels comfortable to your family.
