Why Do My Negative Tarot Readings Seem to Come True?

I'm relatively new to tarot reading, and I've recently begun using a beautiful vintage deck called the Gran Tarot Esotérico. I typically only read for myself because I don't feel confident enough to offer readings to others yet. One thing I've noticed is that it seems like only my negative readings manifest in reality, while the positive ones never do. I wonder if this might suggest that tarot reflects possibilities based on my subconscious and that perhaps I'm unconsciously acting in ways that lead to negative outcomes. Has anyone else experienced this? Why do my positive readings seem to fail?

It might really help if you could share some specific examples of the positive readings that didn't happen as you expected. That could give us a clearer picture and help pinpoint what's going on with your interpretations. Sometimes, it's not just about the cards—it's about how we understand the nuances behind them.

I'm not a tarot expert either, but I've had similar experiences when I first started out. I had a couple of decks that often gave me readings that didn't match reality. As I got more experienced and added to my collection, my readings began to align better with what actually happened. You might be looking at the cards too literally instead of considering the bigger picture, including their relationships and your intuition. It really just takes practice to get those connections right. Keep at it and explore different decks if you think that might help!

It might be a case of wanting to see the good instead of the reality of a situation. The cards are meant to reflect what's there, and sometimes what's there isn't what we hope for.

I think it could simply be that you’re still in the learning phase and might be misinterpreting the cards. As you gain experience, those clear, positive readings will start to come through. I remember feeling the same way when I first began reading years ago.

metaphysicalJourney: Good point! Also, if you're feeling really down in your life, that can impact your readings. It's important to be in the right mindset when you do your readings—meditation can help. Sometimes, what you read might also just reflect a tough situation.
