Why Do Different Calculators Show Different Tarot Arcana Results?

I keep coming across different answers for my tarot arcana on various calculators. For instance, I learned that if you take a birthdate like 9/12/2008, you add the numbers like this: 9 + 12 + 20 + 08, which gives you 8. Based on this calculation, I understand that 8 corresponds to my personality card, and then you combine these numbers to find your soul card. However, I've seen other websites state that my arcana is actually 7. I'm confused about how that could be the case when the math adds up to 8. Can anyone explain this discrepancy?

It sounds like you're getting different results due to varying interpretations of the birth cards. Some calculators may rely on zodiacal correspondences rather than just the numbers you add up. For example, I'm an Aquarius, and I find that my major arcana aligns with The Star, while others might lead you to a different card based on their own systems. If you're a Cancer, for instance, you might see references to The Chariot, which might explain the 7 you're seeing on other sites.
