Why am I getting different answers from my tarot readings?

I've been practicing tarot since last summer and had some great moments, but lately, when I ask the cards for confirmation, they seem to give me entirely different answers to my original questions. This has really shaken my confidence and made me question if I'm just reading what I want to see instead of getting genuine insights. I even wondered if I have a strange connection with my deck because it feels more interpretive than straightforward. I'm starting to think it might also be about the types of questions I'm asking. Does anyone have thoughts or advice on this situation? Thanks!

Are you reading for yourself? If so, it might help to practice mindfulness techniques like meditation or even tai chi to clear your mind. If you want to get serious about improving, consider offering free readings in busy places. The practice can really boost your skills!

Maybe it’s not a bad thing! It's like when you have a chat with a friend; rather than giving you a straight answer, they'll help you reflect and see the bigger picture. Think of your deck as a supportive friend that challenges you to dig deeper!

When you’re unsure about a reading, try asking for clarification while your cards are still spread out. Using other cards for extra insights can help unravel the confusion. Just remember, asking the same question repeatedly can lead to conflicting readings. A fresh take on your question can provide a clearer picture.

I totally understand where you're coming from! I went through something similar when I was being really repetitive with my questions about the same person. I realized I was projecting my own desires instead of letting the cards lead. Taking a break helped me regain my perspective, and I even switched from the Rider Waite system to the Etteilla deck, which really recharged my connection. Maybe consider stepping back for a bit, exploring different decks or methods, or just giving yourself some space to breathe. Sometimes a fresh approach makes all the difference!

It's common to think you’re doing it wrong when the cards don’t line up with what you're hoping for. Just like talking to a friend, a good deck will challenge you and help you reflect. It’s okay if the answers aren’t always what you want to hear; that’s part of the process! Give each reading a chance to guide you instead of looking for confirmation all the time.
