What's Real and What's Fake in The Conjuring Series?

I'm diving into The Conjuring series and I'm curious about the real-life events versus the dramatization in the movies. Specifically, I'm wondering if anyone can clarify whether Isla Kastner was a real person and what parts of the story are based on true events.

Honestly, most of it's exaggerated or completely made up. The Warrens have been called frauds by many, and there's also some pretty dark stuff in their history. Definitely take it all with a grain of salt!

Definitely check out the stories of the families involved in each movie too! There's a lot of fascinating backstory that the films gloss over.

Thanks for the insights, everyone! I just Googled the Warrens and the Amityville murders like you suggested. It's pretty wild to see how much is fictionalized!

The Conjuring series is my guilty pleasure too! But yeah, the Warrens? Total crooks. The actual events are milking it for all it’s worth, so don’t take everything at face value.

If you're interested, there are tons of documentaries about the Warrens out there. Interesting stuff, but keep in mind they really stretched the truth. The Conjuring house is real, and you can visit it, but the movie twists things a lot!
