Question

Is There a Bad Energy in My House After My Mom's Passing?

Hi everyone, I could really use some guidance here. My mom passed away not long ago, and since then, I've been taking care of my younger brother. Before she died, she was quite sick and even believed someone was cursing her. Some friends of hers claimed to have seen dark figures during video chats, and I've had a few odd experiences myself—mostly things like my dogs escaping or seeing shadows out of the corner of my eye. Recently, I saw a dark figure move across our hallway while I was cleaning the house alone. I didn't react because a friend recommended not to acknowledge it. I burned some incense and sprinkled salt afterward. Now my friend thinks there's really negative energy in our home, possibly due to an angry spirit targeting us. I'm wondering what my options are? Should we try to cleanse the space, or is it better to just leave? My mom had a few enemies, but everyone was supportive after her death. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you're open to it, I recommend getting the house blessed by a priest. It doesn’t have to be a Catholic priest; anyone who can perform a blessing should do. Also, be sure to engage with a spiritual person if you're comfortable. Cleansing can bring a lot of peace to your space.

I'm really sorry to hear about your mom and what you’re going through. It sounds really tough, especially with everything else on your plate. The fact that more than one person reported seeing something during video chats is definitely strange and can’t be just dismissed as coincidence. It could be lingering energy from your mom’s illness and stress. Before making any drastic decisions like moving, have you considered doing a home cleansing? Burning sage or palo santo can help a lot, and opening the windows while you do it can clear out negative vibes. Some folks believe that placing bowls of salt in the corners of rooms can help too. If you’re not comfortable doing this yourself, maybe find someone local who specializes in energy work; they don’t have to be overly religious. Just see how a cleansing goes first before considering moving away. Take care of yourself and your brother!

It's understandable to feel the need to leave after such an experience, but I’d strongly advise against it without trying to cleanse your home first. Take baby steps and reach out to someone knowledgeable in this area; you might be surprised at how effective a good cleansing can be.

I’m really sorry for your loss. I’ve been in a similar situation, and it can be really tough. If you're feeling overwhelmed, I would suggest contacting someone who practices cleansing rituals, like a medium or a spiritual healer. They can help clear the energy in your home. Don't give in to fear and leave the place; sometimes, these energies just need to be addressed. Take care!
