Question

What Could It Mean When You Feel a Presence in Your Bed?

This morning, I had an unsettling experience while resting in bed around 6-7am. I dozed off after hearing a noise from my partner, who was lying completely still on the far side of our large bed. Suddenly, I felt the bed shift as if someone was lying down next to me. At first, I hoped it was one of our teenagers, but I realized they wouldn't just come in without making a sound. When I turned to look, there was nobody there. I didn't feel threatened, but the sensation felt intrusive and unsettling. This has happened before, and because of my upbringing in an evangelical cult, I find thoughts of negative entities and spiritual warfare quite triggering. I'm not sure how to approach this—should I ignore it, or should I explore it to help with my healing process?

This isn’t the first experience I've heard of like this. When I first moved into a new place, I felt someone sit on the bed too. It was creepy but not always bad. It’s good to stay skeptical and grounded. I usually clear my space at night as a precaution, just in case. Sounds like you’re navigating this well!

I've experienced something like this, too! Once, while half-asleep, I felt my cat jump on the bed when he was actually missing. It's strange how these feelings can seem so real. It sounds like you may be picking up on a spirit or a deeper connection. Maybe some divination could shed light on the situation.

I've had similar experiences with unexpected sensations while sleeping. Sometimes they can be residual energy rather than a spirit. Making sure to cleanse your space frequently can help, and some find it beneficial to light a candle for protection before bed. Take it step by step, especially if past experiences trigger you.

You might want to protect your space if you don't want that entity around. If it happens again, just tell it to leave—it's really that simple. Your personal power can influence the energy in your room, so don’t hesitate to assert it!

If you're open to it, spirits can come around just to chat or seek help. I've had spirits be playful, and if they bother you, you can always set boundaries. I find cleansing with smoke or using black salt helps keep unwanted presences at bay. Listening to your instincts is key—if it feels off, just take a moment to clear the energy. Maybe even consult your deities or higher self for guidance.
