Is My Hex Backfiring or Just Bad Luck?

I recently did a karmic jar spell aimed at my cheating ex, hoping to make him face some consequences and become more humble. After casting it, I did a quick tarot reading to check if it would work, but I received kind of vague answers, which worried me since I was emotionally charged during the hex. Since then, I've experienced some strange bad luck, like multiple DoorDash drivers canceling and water spilling on my laptop, which now won't turn on. While I know I've been naturally unlucky before, these incidents are making me wonder if my hex backfired. I used vodka in the spell and placed the jar in the freezer—I'm not sure if that matters. I've heard a bit of backfiring might indicate the spell is working. Should I disassemble and cleanse the hex, or is this just part of the process? I can't bury it because I live in an apartment. What do you all think?

It’s good to keep a couple of things in mind: first, hexes don’t backfire in the traditional sense; they usually just work as intended or not at all. Second, take some time to learn about karma—it plays a huge role in this kind of spellwork. Lastly, by freezing it, you might be stunting its action. If you're worried, consider cleansing it and starting fresh!

If you want to dispose of a hex, try using the city’s trash disposal system. Just find a busy street trash can where it’ll be picked up often. This way, it gets taken to a landfill, and you don’t have to worry about burying it and contaminating new ground. It might feel a bit icky, but it helps ensure the spell is dealt with properly.

SassyHerbalist: Or if you're lucky, just toss it in a dog poo bin! I did that after a similar spell, and surprisingly, it felt cleansing!
