Question

What to Do If Your Spell Gets Interrupted?

Hi everyone! I recently started a communication spell with a larger candle, but I had to pause because someone walked in and interrupted me. I didn't get to let it burn all the way, and I'm wondering what I should do with the candle I started. Should I just start over, or can I salvage what I've done? I've decided to use chime candles for future spells to avoid interruptions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If I get interrupted before finishing, I tend to pick up where I left off, but I make sure to ground and center before igniting the candle again. It’s nice to burn it in stages if needed!

I think it’s best to just switch to chime candles and start the spell over. Also, consider timing your spells for when you know you won't be interrupted. Back when I started, I waited until my family settled down for the night. Now, I just let my partner know not to disturb me during my rituals.

Honestly, interruptions are pretty rare for me, and it's usually just my cat wanting attention! If I’m interrupted, I usually try to keep going if I can.

Proper prior planning can help, but life happens. If I manage to recite my chant and do all the gestures, I just continue lighting the candle on subsequent days. Otherwise, I would start fresh, especially if it's a big candle.
