What Plants Can I Grow for Divination and Spiritual Practices?

I'm on the hunt for drought-resistant plants that have been used historically for divination and spiritual rituals. I'm particularly interested in plants similar to psychedelic mushrooms but want to ensure they're safe and legal to have in my yard. I aim to create my own spiritual garden. I've come across morning glory seeds, which are native to my area, but I'd need to grow them indoors since they can spread quickly. I'm also curious about how to use morning glory seeds effectively. Along with that, I'd like to learn about other plants with a similar spiritual significance. I've found some used by ancient Aztecs and others linked to my heritage as a descendant of druids from Wales, but I want to make sure I'm tapping into this naturally. My main gift is clairvoyance, along with oneiromancy and precognitive dreams, so I'm looking for plants that might enhance these abilities.

Just a heads up, morning glory may struggle indoors. I’ve been growing it on my fence for a couple of years, and it thrives outside. What planting zone are you in? That info might help us find more suitable options for your spiritual garden.

While it's not psychedelic, mugwort is fantastic for dream work. It's known for enhancing dreams and can be used in various ways, like making a tea or incorporating it into your pillow. I definitely recommend giving it a try!

NatureSeeker_22: Absolutely came here to suggest mugwort! It's a classic for a reason.

Have you considered clary sage? I use it as an essential oil, and it's great for psychic clarity. The name actually means 'clear-eye' because its seeds were used medicinally. Plus, it’s native to the Mediterranean, so it does pretty well in dry conditions.

If you want something non-hallucinogenic, lions mane mushrooms might be the answer. They’ve really boosted my clairvoyance when paired with a clean diet. It’s all about increasing your natural abilities, right?

Are you looking for traditional magical plants or those used specifically for their hallucinogenic properties? Some great options include bay laurel for oracle practices, eyebright for clarity, and hazel which is known for its dowsing rods. If you're after something with spirit communication properties, juniper or wormwood would be right up your alley.
