The most terrifying experiences for me come from facing parts of myself I usually avoid. Through meditation and ritual work, I’ve found these confrontations are challenging but powerful. Once I learned to accept these darker aspects, dealing with external beings became much easier. Balance and self-acceptance really help in navigating these scary experiences.

My encounter with the occult has been pretty wild. I grew up in a family of sensitive people, and we’ve had our fair share of hauntings and spooky moments. In my teens, I actually made a deal with who I called Satan, although the experience wasn't what I expected. You quickly learn the importance of being aware of your surroundings in this world. There are many dangers out there, and respecting the unknown is crucial.

About 15 years ago, I had what I believe was a demonic encounter. I felt an ominous presence, then had a deeply unsettling dream that left me traumatized. It revealed that my only purpose was to 'figure myself out.' It felt like everything became meaningless afterward. A family friend who stayed in my room while I was away said she had the same dream, where something unseen dragged her towards the door at night. This confirmed to me that something dark may have been at play.

I often experience intrusions during hypnagogic states. Once, I saw my deceased father appear in my apartment, panicked, searching for his grave. It was surreal and unsettling. More recently, I woke up to the sound of intense throat singing echoing in my head, coupled with a distorted figure attempting to reach into my ear. It felt like an attack, but I'm still unsure about what to make of it, especially as I constantly seek proof of other realms.

When I first started practicing, I had a lot of preconceptions about the spiritual world, mostly influenced by media portrayals of 'malevolent spirits.' It took time for me to realize that trying to apply human emotions and expectations to entities that operate differently isn't very effective. I’ve learned that not every spirit interaction is pleasant; I've even encountered some strong, martial energies that convey their messages through intense imagery. Now, I don't necessarily believe evil spirits are the ones causing harm, but rather it's often about misunderstanding their communication.
