I’m already getting support for longstanding shame, but it still hits hard around relationships, work, and mistakes. Are there simple spellwork or ritual practices that could support that work without treating them as a replacement for therapy?
Could a small ritual help me work with shame?

You could make it a small, repeatable ritual rather than aiming to erase shame. Write down the thought that is looping, then write a kinder, more accurate response beside it. Fold the page and put it away, or tear it up if that feels right. The point is to mark a pause and make room for another perspective, not to promise the feeling will disappear.

Keep it simple and grounded. Pick a phrase like “I can have made a mistake without being only a mistake,” take a few slow breaths, and do one ordinary action that supports you, such as sending a message or taking a break. You can treat the phrase as the spell. If ritual starts to feel like a test you have to perform perfectly, drop the ritual and bring that reaction to your therapist.

A symbolic practice might help you express an intention, but I wouldn’t treat shame as the cause of chronic illness or expect spellwork to change inflammation. Keep medical care and therapy in the picture. If you want a ritual, make it gentle and safe, and use it as a companion to those supports rather than a substitute.
