I’m frightened that someone may be monitoring or harming me, and I’m not sure what to do next. How can I get help and stay safe without making things worse?

Start with immediate safety and health, not trying to identify who might be responsible. If you think you may have been exposed to something harmful or have a new physical symptom, contact a doctor or emergency service and describe what you can directly observe. If there’s immediate danger, get to a safe public place and ask someone you trust to stay with you.

Write down specific events, dates, and any concrete symptoms, but leave out guesses about how they happened. Share that record with a clinician and someone you trust. I’d avoid confronting anyone or testing suspected devices yourself, since that could put you at greater risk or make the fear harder to manage.

This sounds exhausting and scary. Please arrange a prompt check-in with a medical professional, and consider telling a trusted person plainly that you feel unsafe and need company. If you might hurt yourself or someone else, or cannot stay safe, contact emergency services now.
