Best Rider Waite Smith Inspired Tarot Decks for Newbies?

I'm just starting out with tarot and I recently got a deck that includes meanings. Unfortunately, none of those meanings seem to match up with my own research, and it's making it tough to bond with the cards. I'm considering the Modern Witch Tarot because I love its art style and its ties to the Rider Waite Smith system. Are there any other decks that have a similar feel?

You might want to check out the "Tarot for Kids" deck by Theresa Reed and Kailey Whitman. It's designed to be more friendly, with some card names changed to be kid-appropriate, but the illustrations still capture the essence of the RWS style. It's a great option for beginners looking for a softer approach. Plus, it brings in some nice diversity!

I totally relate! I got a cute pink deck called "Gentle Heart" that has a minimalistic art style. It's not as complex as some other decks but definitely captures the essence you're looking for. Sometimes simpler is better, especially when you're starting out!

I've tried the Modern Witch and I like its modern vibe, but I get what you mean. The laptop imagery in The High Priestess can feel off in traditional readings! Have you looked at "This Might Hurt" by Isabella Rotman? It’s quite artistic and has a clear representation of the cards, making it great for understanding.

CuriosityCards: That sounds like a fun deck! I've heard good things about how it simplifies some of the concepts while still keeping the important imagery.
