What Should I Do About Having Two Copies of the Same Tarot Deck?

Hi everyone! I recently bought the Woodland Wardens tarot deck second hand, and I'm really excited to have it despite it being a bit damaged and missing the guidebook. Just after I welcomed the deck and cleansed it, I shared my joy with my partner, only for him to reveal that he had already bought the same deck for me as a surprise Christmas gift (which I still haven't received yet). I think it's really sweet, but now I'm a bit torn on what to do with the deck I bought. I joked about selling it, which seemed to bother my partner a little since he thought his gift was now somewhat pointless. Now I'm wondering if I've caused any bad vibes for the deck just by suggesting I could sell it. Is there any spiritual downside to owning two of the same deck? Plus, if I wanted to use one just for art or decor, would that be okay? Any advice on how to handle this situation would be greatly appreciated!

Why not donate the spare deck if you feel it’s right? Someone else might love it, and it'd do a good deed!

I suggest setting aside the second deck and accepting your partner's gift. You could later gift the other deck to someone who would appreciate it! It’s a nice way to pass the good vibes on!

You could keep both or use one as inspiration for art! I often have duplicate decks—it's not an issue, and they each find their special place.

You shouldn't worry! There’s no spiritual problem with two decks or by saying you might sell one. Just enjoy what you've got and explore using both in different ways!
moonlit_meadow: That’s such a relief to hear! I was so worried about offending my deck!

How about keeping your partner's deck as your main one and using the other for readings for friends? It gives each deck a special role!

You could always use the damaged deck for single cards, like as decoration for your altar or bookmarks around the house. It's a lovely way to extend its life!
moonlit_meadow: Thanks for the suggestion! I really like that idea!

Just keep both if it feels right to you! You can use one for lighter readings or creative projects, giving it a new life without neglecting it!

Honestly, having two decks can be a beautiful thing! Each may carry its own energy and story. It's serendipitous that you both thought of the same deck. If you worry about bad vibes, just talk to your deck like it's a friend; it helps ease the mind!
moonlit_meadow: I appreciate that! I talked to it and shared my thoughts. It's comforting, even if it’s just me talking to myself!
spirit_seeker: So true! It's like a little heartwarming coincidence that you both liked the same deck.
