Question

What's the Deal with Angel Work?

I'm trying to wrap my head around the practice of angel work. If people are praying to archangels like Raphael, Uriel, and Michael or making offerings to them, why not just go directly to God? From my understanding, angels don't have free will, so it seems like you're just asking them to put in a good word with God. I might be missing something here, and I apologize if this question is naive, but from an outsider's perspective, it seems a bit odd.

You might be surprised to learn that mainstream Catholics don't really delve into using angels in a theurgical sense. Many tend to appeal more to God directly rather than working with angels in a hands-on way.

Angles have their own quirks when you explore beyond the archangels. It's a wild ride and gets pretty fascinating! Like, one archangel once revealed to me that he had a past life as Marduk, which was a totally unexpected nugget of wisdom!

Exactly! It’s all about personal connection. People may seek out angels for wisdom and guidance, much like you’d take a supplement if you were low on nutrients. You tap into their wisdom when you understand how to work with them, regardless of your background.

Angels have a role that's been around long before Catholicism came on the scene. In many traditions, they function as intermediaries, but their existence isn't limited to any one religion. Think of them as part of a larger spiritual tapestry that different paths draw upon in various ways.

That’s a cool point! Angels can represent certain energies or archetypes each with their own qualities. Even though some might view them as more tied to biblical teachings, they really exist beyond just that context. They help us reflect on ourselves and whatever desires we bring to the spiritual table.
