Did a Tree Just Talk to Me?

I've spent most of my life surrounded by nature, especially in the woods, where I feel completely at peace. I often find a special tree that I connect with; it feels like I can sense the plants around me. Recently, I started leaving offerings like flowers and shiny rocks for this tree, and sometimes sharing drinks like honey milk or coconut water. One day, while lounging against this tree and reading, I accidentally knocked some bark loose. Out of nowhere, I felt this strange connection that manifested as a voice in my mind saying, "No, for people it's kind of like psoriasis or eczema. Thank you for caring about me." It felt like a whisper or a vibration - something I had never experienced before. It freaked me out, and I wasn't sure if I was losing my grip on reality or if this was a genuine connection. I'm really curious whether anyone else has had similar experiences or if I might be experiencing psychosis.

This rings a bell for me! When I was a kid, I would spend hours with trees, and hearing them speak was not unusual for me. Your post reminded me of that, and I might just have to reconnect with nature again.

You’re probably able to hear and feel the tree because of your ongoing connection. I had a similar experience when I was pruning a tree that seemed to call out to me. Trees can be very intuitive!

No, you’re not losing your mind! What you’re describing isn’t psychosis; it’s more like you’ve tapped into a deeper connection with nature. Your ability to hear the plants has likely grown as you’ve nurtured that bond.

It sounds like you’ve actually built a relationship with your tree! When you offer it gifts and spend time there, it creates a bond. What you experienced does tie into the idea of spirit communication and being in tune with nature.
NatureLover89: I totally relate! I felt an instant connection with my tree too, almost like love at first sight. It’s amazing how they seem to respond to us.
