When the mood around you gets relentlessly negative, what helps you find a little hope without pretending everything is fine?
How do you push back when everything feels bleak?

Make the response small and concrete. Get some movement, eat decently, and do one thing that feels kind to yourself. You don’t have to solve everything today. Taking care of yourself can be a way of refusing to let despair make every decision for you.

I’d be wary of turning positivity into another rule you can fail at. Some days, hope might just mean not treating yourself cruelly and keeping one manageable promise to yourself. Feeling bad doesn’t cancel out the value of looking after yourself.
