Do tragic suicides result in hauntings at the site of death?

I'm curious about the idea of hauntings related to tragic suicides. If someone took their own life in a particularly heartbreaking way, is it possible that their spirit might linger at the spot where they died? Do people believe these spirits might show themselves through ghost sightings or even attach themselves to living individuals?

When someone dies suddenly, whether by suicide or another tragic event, they might not even realize they’ve passed. This can leave a lingering energy that could lead to hauntings, not just at the exact spot but also in places they had a strong connection to. Like, Abraham Lincoln is said to haunt various locations, so it really varies from case to case.

Honestly, it really depends on who you're asking. Some believe that strong emotions can leave a mark on a location, but since we can't talk to ghosts, it's all pretty much up in the air. It's fascinating, though!

Right? Because it’s not like people go through life with sunny days all the time. You kind of have to wonder about all the other possibilities.

I can relate; my dad passed this way and I was looking for a sign from him after he died, but I didn't feel anything at all. It was really tough not getting that connection.

Most folklore suggests that tragedies and intense emotions can create an imprint in a location, but whether that leads to actual hauntings is still a hot topic among enthusiasts. It's some thought-provoking stuff!

From experience, I used to live in a trailer park with my ex-boyfriend, whom I had known since middle school. We grew up together. I personally never knew that he was struggling with suicide; he never wrote threatening letters to do so or anything. When I first met him back in Nov 2016, he was a really mentally decent guy. He struggled, coming from a drug-house kind of upbringing with his parents and all. That year, back in February 2016, he had lost his father to a tragic meth overdose; he had found his father dead with the needle still in his arm. So, I came into his life. I started becoming a good thing for his mental health because I was able to distract him from thoughts of things he had been through earlier in that year. I always felt very loved by him. He very much valued love and people's time.
So, in December 2016, shortly after meeting me, he found a place with his cousin that was, like, a trailer park. We had found out from the landlord, when getting that place, there had been a previous suicide in the place already. Which creeped everyone out; with that thought, we were all living in the same place.
I can say that I experienced bad energy, maybe even something people would consider demons. I had never experienced these things in my life anywhere else. So right after moving in, some things (long story short) with weird, hostile vibes, consisting of dark thoughts, happened to both of us, almost toying with our minds all the time. Things like constant tapping on the bathroom wall, which was the wall that the bed was on in the next room, which was the bedroom where we were sleeping. Our room. Calling our names. Sleep paralysis. Where I had seen demons around me at one time. There was a time when some of the crosses on the wall turned upside down. Including stars turning sideways, JUST A VERY DARK VIBE.
Well, we lived there for two years straight; knowing what we had been through the entire time living there, it was still like home. Things spiraled down quickly. Basically, my ex-boyfriend, whom I spent two years in that house with, on July 27th, 2018, on a blood moon, shot himself, committing suicide in that trailer. It's been 8 years now since he passed, and yes, I did witness it all the way through; I was there. I begged him to come back to his normal self. But it was like there was no soul left anymore, or someone took over. Some would say even a darker presence. I now know what I've been through, believe it or not. But it's my story, and it's also my proof of it, absolutely, no matter what happens in a place. I honestly think my ex is most likely trapped in that trailer. Since driving past that trailer today, I've seen his silhouette, ghostly, through the window of his bedroom
I also think that if there is a demonic vibe to a place, I noticed that it would mess with him a little more than me, because of the mentally vulnerable place he was in at the time, because of losing his father back in 2016.
