My boyfriend has had several unrelated problems lately, including damaged bike parts, dead power banks, a failed phone charging port, laptop damage, and an air conditioner that stopped cooling. I also had a laptop briefly go dark while he was visiting. We cleaned an unused room at his place, but the problems continued. Is this just coincidence, or is there something practical we should check?
Could this just be a run of bad luck?

I’d treat each failure as its own problem first. Check the laptop and phone with a repair shop, have the air conditioner installer assess it, and get the bike parts inspected before riding. If several devices were used at the same home, an electrician can check the outlets and wiring too. A pattern is worth investigating, but it doesn’t point to one cause by itself.

A cluster of mishaps can feel uncanny, especially when they happen close together. But these are different kinds of failures, and the laptop working again at your place doesn’t establish a connection to your boyfriend. I wouldn’t take the timing alone as evidence of anything supernatural.
