Question

Is My New House Bringing Me Bad Luck?

I've been trying to settle into my new house for a few months now, and I can't shake the feeling that it just doesn't want us here — almost like it's trying to warn us. We bought the house in May, and it feels like it's been nothing but trouble since then. First, our mortgage got denied, which then delayed everything. We lost our original renovation team and had to hire a new one, who turned out to be terrible. As we've been fixing things up, we've discovered a lot of issues; we even found a leak in the wall that forced us to remove the tiles in both bathrooms. We've been dealing with electrical problems, and now the heating system is acting up too. It's worth mentioning that this is a brand-new home; it was just built and bought from a developer, and no one has lived in it before. We don't have many options but to move in once everything gets sorted, but I can't help feeling that something is off. Am I just being paranoid?

I've been through something similar, and it wasn't bad energy but rather some really sketchy contractors. Some professionals can be dishonest and make a home seem perfect when there are actually underlying issues. We eventually worked through our kinks, and it became a learning experience. Sometimes buying a home can be quite the journey!

curious_umbrella: Thanks! My rational side thinks that too, but with all these defects piling up, I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed.

Why not try some energy cleansing methods? You could do some feng shui adjustments or even have an energy healer come in. Homes can hold onto past energies that might not vibe well with new occupants. A cleansing could really help clear the air!

If you're feeling like the house has a negative vibe, it might be worth considering that some spaces carry past energies. Reaching out to an energy worker for guidance or doing some simple rituals might help shift the atmosphere in your home.

For what it's worth, your issues, while frustrating, aren't unusual. Finding a reliable contractor has gotten tougher these days. Even new builds can come with plenty of problems, often due to cost-cutting measures and rushing the job. Just hang in there; you're not alone in this experience!

curious_umbrella: Thanks for the reassurance! Seems like I'm not the only one facing issues.

Honestly, it sounds like a pretty typical experience when buying a house. Everyone usually shows the happy side of homeownership, but the reality can be pretty messy. When we bought our house, we found tons of issues too! Just think of it as part of the process - it's all going to work out in the end!

curious_umbrella: You're so right! People often only show the glamorous side of home buying.
