People can describe similar-looking lights or shapes but explain them in very different ways, from spiritual contact to perception or ordinary causes. What makes one interpretation feel convincing, and how can someone separate what they observed from what they think it means?
Why do orb sightings get interpreted spiritually?

When something is brief, unusual, or hard to identify, there may not be enough detail to settle on one explanation. People naturally lean on the ideas they already know, including spiritual beliefs, paranormal stories, or more ordinary explanations. The experience can feel vivid without telling us which interpretation is right.
It helps to keep two notes separate: what was actually noticed, and what meaning came to mind afterward. That leaves room for the experience to matter personally without treating an interpretation as established fact.

A spiritual reading can give an unsettling or puzzling event a place in someone's larger sense of life. That can be emotionally meaningful, but meaning and proof are different things. Feeling that an event happened during a hopeful or reflective period does not, by itself, show that the mood caused it or that an outside presence was involved.
I would be wary of any explanation that turns uncertainty into certainty too quickly, whether it is supernatural or dismissive.

For the practical side, write down the conditions before settling on a story: time, location, duration, movement, lighting, weather, and whether anyone else saw the same thing. If it happens again, a photo or video may help, though recordings can also be misleading. Then check plausible sources such as reflections, insects, dust near a light, or camera artifacts.
If those checks do not explain it, that still does not automatically establish a paranormal cause. It just means the observation remains unexplained with the information available.
