Question

Why Do I Feel So Drained After Using My Pendulum?

Hey everyone! I've been using pendulums for years, but I took a break and have recently picked it up again, and I'm encountering a strange challenge. Whenever I use my pendulum, even if I feel like the energies or spirits are positive, I find myself absolutely exhausted afterward. If I use it for just a few minutes, it can completely zap my energy. I follow protective intentions, asking to connect only with my highest self and for only helpful spirits to come through, yet I still experience that groggy feeling post-session. There's even a memory from a few months back that has me questioning things. A close friend asked me to connect with her deceased mother through the pendulum, and the spirit provided some instructions about scattering ashes. However, I later found out her mom was buried, which leaves me wondering about the reliability of the pendulum's information. Lately, I've switched to tarot cards and feel more grounded and energetic after those sessions. So, my questions are: - Why does using the pendulum leave me feeling so drained? - Is it a protection issue, or am I just sensitive to energies? - Could pendulum work not be suitable for everyone? - Has anyone else experienced this and found solutions to the exhaustion? I'm naturally quite energetically sensitive, which might play a role. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

When it comes to feeling drained after using a pendulum, it's pretty common among practitioners. Many people experience this because they might be depleting their own energy in the process. It's super important to focus on grounding yourself before and after your sessions. Have you checked out posts on basic energetic hygiene? They can give you tips on how to raise your energy and help with grounding. You can look at some articles or discussions on the importance of grounding, as they might be a game-changer for you!

GroundedMagic: Totally agree! Grounding has made a huge difference for me. After I work with any tools, I spend some time just reconnecting with the earth, and it really helps.

I think it’s not that pendulums don’t work for some people, but maybe they aren't ideal for every type of question. Personally, I find they’re mostly reliable for simple yes/no questions. If I start qualifying the answers, I switch to tarot or another method that feels more in tune with my energy.

TarotLover95: I can relate to that! I used to rely on pendulums a lot but now I lean toward tarot for deeper insights instead.
