Looking for Safe Alternatives for Candle Holders on My Altar

I'm trying to set up a round altar for a ritual where I need to safely place some candles. The problem is, I don't have enough candle holders, which makes it unsafe to use my usual altar setup. I was thinking about using a paper plate and cutting holes in it to hold the candles, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea. Does anyone have suggestions for safe substitutes?

You might consider using a cake stand. It gives a nice elevated look, but make sure the candles sit securely because they can be a bit wobbly. Just check if they’re level to avoid accidents!

Mugs filled with salt can make decent candle holders! Just make sure to keep them back from the edge of your table. And don’t forget to have a fire blanket or a bucket of sand nearby, because wax fires can be really tricky to put out!

What size are your candles? If they're smaller, you could definitely look for smaller candle holders that would fit them well. That might be the safest option if it’s practical.

Using sand, dirt, or gravel in small pots or containers that you don’t have plants in works really well. It’s fire-safe and super easy to clean up after your ritual by just taking it outside! It's a straightforward option.
