How do you think about kundalini and high-strangeness experiences?

I’m curious how people make sense of unusual experiences during meditation, especially when they seem to connect with stories or symbols about unexplained phenomena. How do you stay open-minded without treating a suggestive connection as proof?

I’d keep two questions separate: what the experience meant to the person who had it, and what it shows about the outside world. A meditation experience can feel profound and change someone’s outlook without confirming a particular explanation for unexplained events.

If a symbol resembles a familiar spiritual system, that may be worth exploring as an interpretation. But resemblance by itself can’t establish where the symbol came from or what it was meant to communicate.

That distinction helps. It leaves room to take someone’s experience seriously without having to settle the bigger claim right away.

I’m more cautious about connecting the dots. People draw on ideas they’ve encountered, sometimes without realizing it, and an image can look meaningful in several different ways. Before reading it as a message about consciousness or contact, I’d want to know who made it, what they knew beforehand, and whether the interpretation was documented independently.

That doesn’t make the personal experience meaningless. It just keeps the interpretation from outrunning the evidence.

For me, the practical side matters too. If meditation starts feeling overwhelming or disrupts sleep and daily life, easing off and talking it through with a qualified health professional can be sensible. You don’t have to decide whether an experience was spiritual, psychological, or something else before taking care of yourself.

That’s a useful reminder. I was asking about interpretation, but it makes sense to include how the experience is affecting someone day to day.
