Question

How Can I Stop Trickster Spirits from Interfering with My Divination?

I've recently started practicing divination again after a break, but I'm having some issues with what I think might be trickster spirits messing with my readings. I cleansed my tarot deck using energy methods since I forgot my usual cleansing supplies. The first time I used the deck, the responses were clear and made sense, even if they were unexpected. However, when I tried again, the answers were all over the place, with the same question giving different results. When I asked if there was a trickster spirit involved, the cards confirmed it, and also indicated they influenced the first reading. I'm not sure if I should trust that answer since they are a trickster! One notable thing is that I showered before the first reading but didn't for the second. Any advice on how to keep tricksters at bay?

I have a couple of thoughts on this! First, while trickster spirits can definitely be a factor, sometimes it comes down to your own skill level. Everyone has off days, or you might be too emotionally attached to the questions you’re asking, making it harder to read clearly. Taking a break and cleansing *yourself* can really help, just like you noted about the shower! Also, if you kept a record of your readings, it might be useful to share them here for feedback. Secondly, it's worth remembering that tricksters can be like sacred clowns; sometimes they provoke you to challenge your own expectations. Instead of viewing them as purely negative, consider establishing some boundaries. You can give them small offerings like water or light as a thank you for respecting your space, potentially turning them into allies rather than obstacles.

Curious_Diviner44: Thanks for sharing these insights! I can totally relate to the skill issue part. It’s been a while since I used my deck too, and I think I rushed my cleansing. And I appreciate the perspective on tricksters; I usually hear that they should be banished, but your take is really refreshing!

SpiritSeeker89: I love your point about tricksters potentially being allies! It’s a different way of thinking about it that I hadn’t considered before.
