Why Do My Feelings Fade After Doing Love or Sweetener Spells?

I've been practicing love and sweetener spells for a while now, and I've noticed a pattern: after I perform these spells on people I'm already seeing, my feelings tend to fade almost immediately. Right after the spell, I feel a sense of relief, but soon after, my attraction to the person dwindles. I typically do these spells to enhance what feels like a blossoming relationship, so I'm worried I'm sabotaging myself without realizing it. Just last night, I made a sweetener jar, and today, I already feel less drawn to that person. This has happened before, and it often leads to the relationship fizzling out. I've been in this practice for about nine years, and I'm starting to wonder if I should be doing some shadow work to address what's going on beneath the surface.

I think it’s really interesting that you feel so detached after your spells. For me, it’s kind of the opposite; I just end up not caring for a while, but then my feelings hit me hard later on. It's definitely worth exploring why you consistently lose interest so quickly after casting. Shadow work could provide some valuable insights.

It sounds like your spells might be having the opposite effect than you hoped! It's actually pretty common to find that spells can shift your feelings. I totally agree that looking into shadow work could help you understand why you feel the need to 'secure' something that's already in progress. It might also be beneficial to explore attachment styles to see how they affect your connections with others. Good luck on your journey!
