What Does the Symbolism of Hands Emerging from Clouds in Tarot Mean?

I've been curious about the meaning behind the hands that appear coming out of the clouds in traditional tarot cards, specifically in the Rider-Waite-Smith (RWS) deck. Does anyone have insight into the artistic context or history of this imagery? I've heard they might represent the hands of the Magician, but I initially thought they could be angelic. Furthermore, I've read that these clouds are more like smoke rather than rain. It's also intriguing that in the Ace of Wands, the hand seems to come from some sort of portal, as it doesn't extend beyond the cloud. Why do only the Aces and the Four of Cups feature this hand-cloud phenomenon? What's special about the Four of Cups that it includes this symbol?

From what I understand, the Aces represent the four elements emerging from a state of formlessness, like Ain Soph and Ain Soph Aur. They symbolize the creative force and how emotions, thoughts, and feelings manifest in our lives. It's tied to creation myths as well as the essence of existence itself.
