What can I use as a safe alternative for candle holders during my ritual?

I'm trying to create a round altar for my ritual to arrange my candles safely, but I don't have enough candle holders and it's making me a bit nervous about fire safety. I'm considering using things I have at home, like cutting holes in a paper plate for the candles. Does anyone have any better ideas for keeping things safe?

Have you thought about using a cake stand? It might give you enough space and a nice look, too! Just check if the candles will sit level on it, so they don’t tip over.

One option I love is using sand, dirt, or gravel in small containers or pots you have lying around. They're fire-safe and make for a good base to hold your candles! Plus, when you're done, you can just toss it outside.

Wandering_Seeker: Yeah, I was wondering about that, too. Just be careful since the base is uneven!
