Struggling with Dowsing Rods - Tips for Connection?

Hey everyone! I've been using a pendulum for some time now and had decent success, so I decided to give dowsing rods a shot. Unfortunately, I'm not having much luck with them. I've tried relaxing and meditating to connect with my guides, but nothing seems to work. I've watched various tutorials online for guidance, yet the rods just don't respond. Am I maybe feeling blocked, or have I lost my touch? I'm really not sure what's going on here. Anyone have ideas or experiences to share?

How are you determining that you can’t connect? Sometimes, people misinterpret the crossing of rods as a yes, but it could mean the opposite for you. If they’re completely still when you’re tuned in, maybe these rods aren't the right fit for you. Can you describe what happens when you hold them still?

Have you tried connecting physically with what you want to find? I find it helps to train your sensitivity first. Before using rods or pendulums, just sit near water or an energy source to get familiar with those feelings. The rods will just amplify what you’ve already connected with.

Commercial dowsing rods can be tricky since they often move too easily. I prefer using plain old wire coat hangers for more control. Everyone has different tools that resonate with them, so don't hesitate to experiment!

curious_wanderer: Thanks for the tip! I’ll have to give that a try since the store-bought ones aren’t working out.

Hey there! It sounds like you might need to explore other divination methods too. For me, rods work well, but Tarot cards just don’t click. Have you tried using Tarot or runes? Also, if your rods just wiggle around, they could be pointing to water sources instead of anything else. What’s their movement like when you hold them?

I know the struggle! It took me about six months for mine to start moving. Grounding them by burying them in soil is supposed to help with that, but I didn't know that early on. A lady I follow teaches a lot about dowsing and emphasizes that it can take time to develop the connection, so don’t get discouraged!
