I like the idea of treating ordinary ads as prompts for noticing divine themes. How do you do that without forcing a connection onto everything?
How do you read deities into everyday ads?

I’d start with what the ad is actually showing, then ask what qualities it brings to mind. A phone ad might suggest communication, travel, or clever craft. A grocery ad might point toward food, growth, and care. Those themes can lead you to a deity from the tradition you work with, but they don’t have to be a definitive match.

For me, the useful part would be looking for several layers at once. A recruitment ad could evoke conflict, protection, authority, or sacrifice, depending on what stands out to you. I’d jot down the image and the qualities you noticed, then see whether the association still feels meaningful later.

I’d keep a little skepticism in the mix. Ads are designed to connect products with feelings and ideals, so the symbolism may say as much about the marketing as it does about any spiritual practice. You can still use the image as a reflection prompt without treating it as a message or a sign.

That keeps it feeling like an observation exercise rather than a test with one correct answer.
