Question

Can I Call on Deities I Don't Normally Work With for Spells?

I'm interested in doing a spell and could really use some help from a specific deity, but the thing is, I don't usually worship or work with them. I just found out that it's possible to connect with deities outside of your regular practice, and I'm curious about how that works. How should I go about doing this?

Definitely! When working with a deity you don’t normally worship, it’s helpful to research them first. Learn about their attributes, give them suitable offerings, and then simply ask for their assistance. Remember, spirits have their own personalities, so treat them with respect and sincerity!

You can absolutely do whatever feels right in your practice! Personally, I find it more powerful to establish a relationship if you want to work with a deity over time, but you can definitely reach out for a one-time request too. Often, these deities have insight beyond their usual domains.

Totally possible! Just think about it this way: would you stroll up to a stranger's house and ask them to do something personal for you? It’s more about building a relationship than just asking for favors, even if you don’t usually work with them. It’s all about the connection!

I suggest using their symbols, maybe even some tarot cards that represent them. Leave offerings and kindly ask for their help without the need for making formal contracts. Just let the energy flow!

In my experience, yes! My kids often ask our family deities for introductions to others they want to work with. We usually add a picture or a statue of the new deity to our altar to remember that connection. Just be polite, learn how to address them properly, and share your intentions clearly!
