Perfect for analyzing EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) captured on video, it allows investigators to clarify faint whispers and disembodied voices that are often drowned out by ambient sound.

Video evidence is often plagued by environmental noise—wind, traffic, or the hum of electronics—which can mask the subtle audio anomalies that paranormal investigators look for. The Whisper Extractor solves this by applying a targeted “band-pass” filter that isolates the human vocal range (typically 1kHz to 4kHz) while suppressing everything else.

How the Extraction Works

This tool performs three critical audio engineering tasks automatically in your browser:

• High-Pass Filter: Removes low-frequency rumble, such as wind noise, footsteps, or camera handling sounds.
• Low-Pass Filter: Cuts out high-pitched hiss and static, focusing the audio on the “presence” range where speech occurs.
• Dynamic Compression: Boosts the volume of quiet sounds (like whispers) while limiting loud sounds, ensuring that faint EVPs are brought to the forefront without distortion.

Instructions for Use

1. Upload Video: Click the upload icon to select a video file (MP4, WEBM, or MOV) from your investigation. The tool will load the audio track automatically.
2. Extract Whispers: Click the “Extract Whispers” button. The tool will process the audio, applying the filters and compression algorithms.
3. Visualize & Listen: Watch the waveform update from a dim gray (original) to a bright blue (enhanced). Click “Play Enhanced Audio” to hear the result.
4. Analyze: Listen closely for intelligible words or phrases that were previously inaudible.
