Why Is Alcohol Considered Bad for Kundalini Awakening?

Recently, I had a rough night after drinking too much wine, which led to some weird and unsettling visual experiences while trying to sleep. I've had these episodes before and they sometimes feel like involuntary astral projections. While I'm awake, I perceive surreal, shifting landscapes along with strange, snake-like beings and even beautiful, vibrant scenes that seem more real than everyday life. I suspect that my third eye might have opened after exploring some meditation tapes a while back. I've heard some warnings about how alcohol can affect those who have had a kundalini awakening, and I'm curious to know why drinking is particularly harmful for us. Have others experienced similar phenomena during their spiritual journeys, especially related to spontaneous out-of-body experiences?

I've also heard that alcohol lowers your spiritual vibration. For the last decade, I’ve mostly avoided it because my intuition urged me to stay clear. When I did indulge for celebratory moments, I still had amazing experiences, but I feel that avoiding alcohol altogether enhances my spiritual practice significantly.

Alcohol, especially in large quantities, can really lower your vibration, which is not great for spiritual growth. It makes it harder to connect with your higher self and spirit guides. After my awakening, I realized I had to quit drinking altogether because it was holding me back. The key is to be mindful about your relationship with alcohol; it's not just about the substance itself, but how it affects your thoughts and opens you up to negative energies. For me, it was a gradual process. One day, I just found myself naturally avoiding it without struggle.

Focusing on your surroundings can help block out those intense visuals. My experiences began with creating art in my mind, and they started talking to me after a while! I suspect it’s linked to my cerebellum—the part that makes the art, while also influencing their development over time. They're not quite as intricate as I am, but they sure can create some stunning visuals too!
