I saw a small product come off a store display hook surprisingly fast, and nearby items started swinging. What ordinary things could cause that, and how can anyone tell?
What could make a product pop off a display hook?

A package can sit awkwardly on a peg, catch on the end, then release when the display gets a small jolt. The other items swinging could fit with movement in the rack, though it doesn’t prove what caused it. A slightly crooked hook or a bump to the fixture would be worth checking.

I’d look for a physical cause before reaching for anything supernatural. Someone brushing the rack, a nearby cart, or movement in the fixture could explain a sudden release. Air alone seems less likely to launch a typical packaged item, but without seeing the setup, there’s no way to pin down one explanation.

Two people seeing the same thing makes the event worth taking seriously, but it doesn’t tell you how it happened. If it matters, note exactly where the item was hanging and whether the hook or display was loose, then ask store staff whether they can check the area. A brief observation usually can’t rule out every ordinary cause.
