A discussion community has suddenly become unavailable. What are some possible reasons, and how can you tell whether it was removed or is just temporarily inaccessible?
What can make an online community suddenly disappear?

An unavailable page by itself doesn’t tell you what happened. It could be a temporary service problem, a change in access settings, a renamed community, or a deliberate removal. The exact message shown, if there is one, may narrow it down, but it usually won’t explain the reason on its own.

It can happen, but I wouldn’t jump to a particular explanation. Communities sometimes close or restrict access, and services can also make content unavailable. If there’s a notice from the service or the community’s organizers, that’s more useful than guessing from a missing page.

Try again later and check whether the service has posted a general outage notice. If the page stays unavailable and there’s no explanation, the cause may simply not be public. A disappearance alone isn’t proof of a rule violation or of any specific decision.
