What are the Action Cards in Tarot Beyond Just the 8 of Wands and Knight of Wands?

I'm relatively new to tarot and I often find myself asking "when" questions. I've only pulled the 8 of Wands once, back in November, and movement did occur on that very day. I'm curious to know if there are other cards that indicate action or show that a situation is moving forward rather than being stagnant.

The Knights are definitely all about action! The Knight of Swords and Knight of Wands tend to represent the fastest movements, while the Knight of Cups and Knight of Pentacles are much slower, with the Pentacles being the slowest of them all. If you're looking for more cards that signal movement, keep an eye on the pages and the Chariot too!

Most tarot cards carry a signal of movement, but when you feel stuck, you might think of cards like The Hermit, the Hanged Man, or the 2 of Swords as indicators of stagnation. Astrological associations can also help you interpret timing in your readings – for instance, certain cards might be linked to specific seasons or elements, which could indicate how quickly things could unfold. Finding a method that resonates with you could really deepen your readings!

Actually, there are plenty of cards beyond just the 8 of Wands and the Knight of Wands that indicate action! The rest of your tarot spread can also show movement and how fast it might be.

reflectiveReader: This is super insightful, thanks! I also appreciate your point that movement doesn’t always mean fast—sometimes it’s slow but still significant. I've been pondering my work situation where things feel stagnant, especially after being told my role won't be renewed. It helps to know that even slow cards don't mean a bad outcome.
