Is Pranic Healing a Scam?

Asked By CuriousTraveler42 On

Hey all, I recently attended some Pranic Healing classes and have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I really enjoyed the energy work involved, but I can't shake the feeling that there's something off about the organization. The classes were extremely pricey, ranging between $2,000 and $3,000 for just two days, and honestly, only seemed to cover about 20% real material, with the rest filled with stories and constant pitches for further courses. It felt very much like they were selling the next workshop or event every few minutes. There are signs that make it seem pretty cult-like too — like discouraging critical thinking and having a strict hierarchy of 'Grand Master' and 'Masters.' Open question to anyone else who has taken classes or been involved: What was your experience? Did you notice similar things?

You might want to really reflect on what you've learned and take the good with you, but definitely run away from this space. Anything that discourages questioning is suspect!

Absolutely! Trust in your own intuition; it usually knows best. These teachings can often be more about marketing than real benefit.

Sounds like you got scammed! 2-3k for a class is absolutely insane, and the lack of critical thinking is a huge red flag. If they're not letting you question things, that's a sign of a cult-like environment. It might be wise to walk away from that situation.

Totally agree! A true healer wouldn't stifle your thoughts like that. Plus, most healing courses shouldn't cost that much unless they're offering something truly special.

I had a similar experience. After Choa Kok Sui's passing, the organization shifted to being more cult-like. Personally, I would recommend learning from books rather than these pricey classes. The real wisdom is out there without the hefty cost.

Yeah, it seems like they’re more focused on the business side than real healing. That’s truly disappointing to hear.

The structure definitely gives off pyramid scheme vibes. I've taken energy courses myself, but none cost more than a couple hundred dollars. Keep your wallet closed and trust your gut on this one!

Wow, that really sounds sketchy. I don’t think spiritual work should cost that much. It should be about healing, not lining pockets. If you can learn on your own, that's probably the best route instead of further investing money there.
