Is it better to snuff out candles instead of blowing them out?

I've always blown out my candles, but I've recently purchased a candle snuffer and I'm going to start using that instead. I've read repeatedly that blowing out candles might not be the best approach, but I've never really paid attention until now. I'm curious about what actually happens when you blow them out versus snuffing them. Is there any significant difference?

Yeah, I’ve heard that blowing can end the spell's energy or release spirits. My tradition teaches that it's better to snuff candles when doing any spell work, as blowing could disrupt things. But, ultimately, it’s about your own beliefs and experiences!

As long as you’re mindful of your breath being life energy, it’s all good. Everyone’s got their own take on breaking the flame, so just do what feels right to you!

Candle snuffers have been used for ages to quietly extinguish flames. Some people believe that blowing out candles can disperse the energy or even disturb spirits. Snuffing, on the other hand, is thought to be a more respectful way to put a candle out, especially in certain cultures. So it seems there's a blend of practicality and tradition at play here!

It’s all about personal choice! Blowing out candles can seem more celebratory, like during birthday wishes. But I guess it ultimately comes down to what feels right for each person in their rituals.

Honestly, I don’t think it really makes a huge difference in practice. Whether you snuff it, blow it out, or even pinch it out, the candle just goes out. It’s really about the intention behind your action more than anything else.
