I'm curious about how to classify the different tiers of skills and knowledge that an occultist should acquire during their journey. What essential things should a beginner know? And what should one achieve before considering themselves intermediate or advanced?

Here's a breakdown I think makes sense: **Beginner:** Start by learning to read critically, maintain a journal, and perform basic cleansing and banishing rituals. You should also focus on memorizing key concepts and applying them in real-life. **Intermediate:** Create your personal practice code and develop a realistic plan that balances your occult studies with everyday responsibilities. You should be able to tackle real-life challenges using your skills. **Advanced:** Ideally, by this stage, your life runs smoothly, and you're fulfilling your purpose. You should be contributing positively to your community and sharing your knowledge with the next generation.

A beginner should have personal proof of magic's existence. As an intermediate, you should be able to demonstrate this to those who are open to it. What does the advanced level look like? That’s still a question I’m contemplating.

I think classifying levels could also be about unity: 1. Unity with self 2. Unity with others 3. Unity with the divine. This approach emphasizes the relationships you develop along your journey.

For beginners, it’s crucial to develop critical reading skills and learn how to evaluate sources effectively. Once you're at the intermediate level, you should have personal experience with the relevant mysteries of your practice, moving away from relying on others for your growth. By the time you reach the advanced stage, you’ll want to be able to manifest your desires into reality consistently.
