I came across design products priced around $80 to $100 or more, with generative AI mentioned near the bottom of the description. What do you look at before deciding whether the price makes sense?
How do you judge a pricey product that uses generative AI?

Start with what you actually get: materials, printing quality, number of items, and whether the product has features you care about. AI use alone doesn’t tell you the full value, but if the price feels high and the listing is vague, I’d hold off until the details are clearer.

Disclosure placement matters. If a detail that could affect someone’s buying decision is tucked far down the page, that’s a reason to read the whole listing carefully and check the return policy. You can also ask the seller directly how the designs were made and what the price covers.

I wouldn’t treat every AI-assisted design as automatically worthless, but I would decide whether I’m comfortable paying that amount for it. If the design is the main selling point and the AI disclosure changes how you see it, it’s perfectly reasonable to skip it and look for something that feels worth the price to you.

Good point. I’d also check whether the description explains the materials and production costs, rather than relying on the artwork alone to justify the price.
